yey! (part 2)

Liverpool are the champs! AC Milan was ahead 3-0 at halftime, but Liverpool rallied in the second half to draw 3-3. In the end they won 3-2 on penalties. Both teams seem to be level, but in penalties i think luck also has to be on your side. They both deserved to win, but i guess Liverpool was meant to celebrate their fifth title. The bad thing is that I missed the game!!! This time I didn't stay up to watch it live [sigh]. I guess I'll just have to watch out for the replay on ESPN or Star Sports . I'm looking forward to it though coz it was a good game -- lots of goals and excitement. What a way to end the season!

here are some pics inuoe and i took after work...one shows a ball of fire, while the other one shows the sky's pretty colors...they were taken from almost the same spot...not the same day though...hehe...just sharing...

I was watching Breakfast on Studio23 while getting ready for work, and i was able to catch their star news segment. Anyway, they talked about the BIR investigating showbiz personalities. I think Claudine Baretto's next in their (long?) list. It was mentioned that Sen. Bong Revilla said that the BIR should also go after businessmen, or "malalaking isda" as he called it. And (one of?) the reason(s) he gave was that they earn billions every year, habang ang mga artista MILYON LANG....

ups and downs

a friend said in her blog that she felt happy...but she's scared coz everytime she feels happy she feels depressed after...i feel that way too...sometimes...somehow i feel that that's the way life really is...to keep things balanced i guess...you can't be sad all the time, but you can't be happy the whole time either...it's like we always have to have a taste of both worlds...both sides...so that we will appreciate all the good and simple things in life?...maybe...

but there are times when we can't help but feel as if we've been down for so long...it's like we've been waiting for so long just to be "up", waiting for something good to happen, something good we deserve...but then again who are we to say that the "bad" that's happening to us isn't something we deserve?...someone said that it's funny how we remember God everytime we have troubles, and we always ask Him - "why me?"...but when we are happy, we never think "why me?"...maybe more of an "of course, me!" or a "finally!"?...hehehe...

well...life may be unfair...life may suck...but life is what we make it and it can be a party if we want it to...hehe [wink]

i think i'm already blabbing...time for me to stop [sigh]...

these are just some of the things they did in MTV Whatever Things...i came across it while channel surfing, and i think it was the finale...they shot it in Thailand...some of the things that they did were ok but the others were so gross!!!...i couldn't stand watching some of it but i couldn't change the channel either!! hehe...but at least most of the dares were still kinda "wholesome" and not "life threatening"...i could even imagine myself probably doing some of the things they did if i really had to...but i really hate wasabe...hehe...la lang...

road trip

We had our company (or should i say, division) outing in Lake Caliraya. Fearing of getting left behind, I got up at the crack of dawn to get to the meeting point on time (almost ). There was a slight delay, but anyway, when we were finally on our way, first thing we did was, of course, eat (did anybody say chicharon?) and drink?! hehe...It took us about 3 hrs to get there. We played some games, ate some more, but after lunch decided to transfer to another place. We were on the road (again!) to search for a private pool in Los Banos. Eventually we found one that was big enough to accomodate all of us. After a few hours we were on the road again, heading back to Makati. On our way, we were able to catch a glimpse of the spectacular fireworks display at EK. A wonderful way to conclude the trip, i should say [sigh]

It was more of a road trip than an outing since we were on the road longer than we were in the actual places...hehe...All we did was eat, talk, and laugh (and sleep in the van ). It was definitely a tiring day, waking up so early and all, but i must admit i really had a lot of fun!

yey! (part 1)

AC Milan and Liverpool are in the UEFA Champions League finals!!!! AC Milan beat PSV Eindhoven while Liverpool beat Chelsea in the semis. I want both teams to win the final but it can't happen (duh) so for this one, I'd go with [drumroll] AC Milan! I hope they win...

have you learned...

I was reading through some old emails, and I came across one about the things that the (anonymous) author learned. Some I could relate to, most I was struck by. Here are some bits and pieces of it...

I've learned-
that you cannot make someone love you.
All you can do is be someone who can be loved.
The rest is up to them.

that sometimes when I'm angry
