hooked

I've been listening to Nina's Live! CD these past few weeks, and I think I'm hooked! I don't get tired listening to it over and over again. At home, in the car, in the office, it even follows me around wherever I eat! . I was never a fan, I didn't even like her sound, but I must admit that I did love the CD, sobrang sulit! There's no need to skip tracks, except for maybe one song coz I don't like the one featured, but the song itself is ok (hehe). At this point I'm picking this over MYMP's Versions, though I do like some songs in that album. But you never know, I might give it a chance hehehe

a very brief post

Life can be summarized in two statements:

1. Life is unfair.
2. When it rains, it pours.

It's not being pessimistic; it's just the awful truth. It doesn't mean that life isn't great though, because it is.

childhood faves

Looking for a gift for my niece's bday, I practically went to all the toy shops I could go to, looking for a gift she'll hopefully like. I noticed that many of the characters are old ones making a comeback. It suddenly made me think of all the toys and cartoons I liked when I was a kid, though I obviously still like them! (hehe ). When I see them in stores I still look at each one, as if I were choosing carefully, resisting the urge to buy one (for me of course! hehe). Do you remember these?:

• Carebears (which little girl didn't like them?)
• Strawberry Shortcake (even the toys had a scent to match the character)
• Rainbow Brite (love the colors!)
• Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles (most of us wanted to be one)
• Cabbage Patch Kids (complete with adoption documents, with hand/foot prints)
• Garbage Pail Kids
• Ghostbusters (enjoyed the slime!)
• My Little Pony (there were tooooo many of them to choose from!)
• Smurfs (funny that there was only 1 girl)
• Punky Brewster
• He-Man
• She-ra
• G.I. Joe (i think it was a phase...)
• Alvin & the Chipmunks (who could forget their cute voices?)
• Denver, the Last Dinosaur (remember the song)
• Rageddy Ann & Andy
• Ewoks
• Superbook
• Flying House

(also, thanks to inuoe!...we're obviously kids of the 80's...who spent a lot of time in front of the tv though...hehe)
